Although I was older than most trainers starting out, it made perfect sense to me to start my own yard. Training is in my blood, it's my second nature and I've had so much experience both nationally and overseas that the transition, while challenging, was quite a natural one.

Patience is the key. As a trainer, there is no higher virtue. The horses can read you and they react to the mood of the yard so we're very focussed on fostering a positive, measured environment where patience, commitment and expertise come together to produce results.
